I met Roland when he showed up to an open mic I was running in the UK. He was fresh studying in the US, and I immediately fell in love with his playing and style. He’s got a unique beautiful voice, and his guitar playing pulls all the tasty bits I love from the blues.

His writing is descriptive, soulful with phrasing I never see coming. He’s one of those people who takes the leap into opportunities and backs it all up with a completely thoughtful way of being.

We’ve bonded for hours over lyrics, composing, guitar and a shared love of the craft. He’s a beautiful musician, and I’m lucky to call him a mate — I always wanna hear what he’s writing next.
